GDC Last Mile Distribution Events

The Global Distributors Collective actively works to create dedicated spaces for its members to collaborate, network and share knowledge and experiences on last mile distribution, in order to accelerate their businesses.

That’s why we’re excited to deliver a series of face-to-face events specifically dedicated to supporting our members to meet with and learn from each other, as well as to connect with sector experts. We believe that enabling such opportunities is critical for LMDs to more effectively and efficiently reach underserved customers with life-changing products that they may otherwise not have access to.

    Day one included interactive bootcamps on topics such as salesforce effectiveness and retention, fundraising and sales & marketing.

    Day two focussed on investment readiness and access to finance, with funders including USAID, GET.invest, the Clean Cooking Alliance and SIMA funds sharing insights and opportunities for GDC members.

What next?

This is the first in a series of last mile distribution events the GDC is planning to deliver for our members over the next two years. The experiences and valuable feedback gathered from the event in Kampala will help us to develop exciting and relevant future events for members to benefit from, and we hope to deliver the next of these such events in early 2020.
