Calling GDC members

We are offering a unique opportunity for selected GDC members to be part of the design and piloting of a brand new Training Facility. If selected, we will work with you to understand your key challenges, and what you’ve tried and tested, and work with you to design a series of training programs that address your needs. You will be part of the pilot training group before the training is implemented more broadly with other GDC members.

  • Network with and learn from peers about tried and tested approaches to solving challenges.

How it works

How to apply and timeline

  • Fill out the application form and email it to gdc@practicalaction.org.uk by 15 March 2019
  • Distributors will be selected based on an assessment of the evaluation criteria by the GDC steering committee.
  • We expect to announce the winners by end March 2019.

Eligibility criteria

We invite you to apply to help design and pilot the GDC Training Facility if you meet the following criteria:

  • You are a GDC member. Not a member? See our eligibility criteria and join here.
  • Your business is registered and has operations in East Africa
  • You are committed to allocate staff time  (of around 3 days )
  • You consent to share (only internally and confidentially) data so we can measure effectiveness of training (eg. unit economics, sales agent retention, gender inclusion)
  • Your team to be trained has proficient level of English (speaking and reading)
  • You are part of the management team and are willing to train your own team (including sales agents) on the learnings you gain from this training.
